EVENTS AND ACTIVITIES

 

SKILLZ CAMPS
March and August - Register Now
We offer a skills camp that touches on all aspects of cheerleading including motions, jumps, cheers, chants and dance. The cheerleaders always view skill camp as a fun and productive way to kick off the season.

 

SPRING SHOWCASE
June
Squads will perform a choreographed routine to showcase (cheers, stunts, and dance) and celebrate the end of the Spring season.

 

MINI CAMPS
June 2 - Register Now
We host FREE mini-camps as a great way to introduce new cheerleaders to the basic fundamentals and serves as a refresher for those returning to APC. Rotating stations include motions, jumps, and cheers/chants.

 

DALE CITY INDEPENDENCE DAY PARADE
July
APYFL Warriors invite registered players and cheerleaders to walk with the float as we celebrate Independence Day. Wear your AP apparal and comfortable shoes (no sandals). Bring a water bottle and your AMERICAN Pride spirit!

 

APYFL FAMILY FUN DAY
August
This is a fun event for all football players, cheerleaders, and families to celebrate the start of the season. Come with your WARRIOR Pride!

 

NOVA CHEER PERFORMANCE DAY
October
Performance Day is an opportunity for NOVA Cheer clubs wishing to participate and is associated with, and held the same day as, the All-Stars Program.  This is a special time for each club to showcase/perform cheers, cheer/dance routines or a combination. This performance is held at a high school within the Northern Virginia area.

 

FALL PEP RALLY
November
Prior to tackle playoffs, American Pride will host a Pep Rally for football players, cheerleaders, and families. Each squad will perform a choreographed routine to showcase what they've learned throughout the season (cheers, stunts, and dance). Additional practices may be scheduled in preparation for the Pep Rally and will vary by coach.

 

END OF SEASON EVENT/BANQUET
June/November
At the end the Fall cheer season, American Pride Cheerleading takes this opportunity to recognize cheerleaders and coaches and celebrate. Each squads' fundraising efforts, support this event.

 

LEAGUE BANQUET
December
Each year APYFL recognizes a Player/Cheerleader of the year from each football team and cheerleading squad. The Player of the Year (POY) is awarded to a player/cheerleader from each team/squad who has achieved both on-field and off-the-field (i.e., academic, community service) success. This is a very special event for the chosen individuals and their families.
